The only thing I don't like about Home Depot that keeps me going to Lowe's.
The parking spaces at Home Depot are so cramped. I dread parking there and getting my truck damaged. The ones at Lowe's are much more spacious. That is at least where I live. Also Lowe's has an overhang area with 1/2 a dozen parking spaces you can pull into right by the lumber department. Other than that Home Depot beats Lowe's hands down.
Troubleshooting my new well.
I hammered this down a couple years ago. 2 inch galvanized well with a sand point on it. 1 1/2 drop down the two inch galvanized. The well is about 23 feet deep. I bought a new pump, I was able to pump water but but the pump was starved.
In a desperate attempt I decided to develop the well by forcing water down it. I was hoping maybe the sand point was plugged up..
I cut the suction line and set it aside. I made a manifold and connected it to the drop pipe. I have a rubber boot on the 2 inch galvanized and the 1 1/2 PVC. It is airtight. The red hose shown in the picture is the input. That hose sends out a powerful stream of water. The green hose is used to relieve pressure if necessary.
When I turn on the red hose full blast, I am getting 25 pounds of pressure on the Gage. This tells me the well is not absorbing water as it should be. I can turn the red hose down to a point where there's zero pressure, but that means the well is absorbing a minimal amount of water. If this well was good it should be able to take all the water when the red hose turned on full blast, with no pressure on the Gage. This verifies my well is bad and I need to go back to the drawing board.
Any thoughts?
I wanted to share this. In certain situations, usually when I'm out of town, I choose to turn my timer off and operate my pump manually. I connected this module and can operate it with an app off my smartphone via Wi-fi. Works fantastic.
About a year ago I removed my drive shaft and replaced the center support. I did so because I could feel it bump when I gave it gas from a full stop. I also replaced all the universal joints. It was quite a job but it worked out nice and I noticed a big difference.
Here I am, about a year later and I can feel the play again. I thought I used a quality center support.
My Silverado has the 8.1 liter and maybe I'm a little heavy footed. Rather than do the same thing over, I'm considering a one piece drive shaft. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Could it handle the torque of big V8?
I split up a $50 order between Lowe's and Home Depot in order to save $10. Both have free delivery. Lowe's had everything in stock home Depot didn't..
Single gang box outside on the wall. Two black wires and one green wire heavy gage. The ground goes to ground. One of the black is a neutral the other black is not connected. I want to add a duplex. Went up in the attic, I saw some blue smurf conduit that contains these wires going to another single gang box. Inside that box those three wires were connected to some romex going down the wall. This made me realize someone added this on after the house was built.
I tried to calculate where is located inside the house but I'm having a hard time.
When I do the measurements it comes out in the middle of the ceiling which is not possible. I've checked in my breaker panel all circuits are accounted for. Also inside the house I checked and all the duplexes and all the light switch boxes to see if they were tapping into there. I'm thinking of going up there with a 1/16 inch bit and drill a hole to see where it's at. I have popcorn ceilings and it can be easily patched with a dab of caulk. Before I do so I figured I would ask everyone here if there was a better that I don't know about.
And yes I know, I can call an electrician but I've worked in a related field my whole life. I've been up in the attic at least 4 times trying to figure this out. I'm old as dirt and it's killing me.

And no I don't want to call an electrician! I've done electrical work my whole life in a similar trade. I'm just getting up in years and its a bitch going in and out of that attic!
What if I was granted TDIU and it is discovered my diagnosis that got me there was wrong ? I have been receiving payment for almost two years.
Diagnosed with Parkinson's over A year ago. Looking back, I have had early symptoms for quite a few years.
The meds I take are Levodopa/Carbidopa.
They have no effect, in fact they seem to make things worse as far as having any energy and the general way that I feel. The only time I really have tremors is when I extend my arm to reach for something or to do a function.
I currently have quit taking my meds altogether.
I thought I would ask here before contacting my neurologist.
Has anyone else experienced this?
There are two pads underneath the K46 that could accommodate two drain plugs, one for each section. I saw a Youtube video where they did this with the transaxle out of the mower. Has anyone attempted This with a transaxle still installed ? Seems if you were careful and used the right technique, the metal shaving would not be a problem. Please don't beat me up too bad for suggesting this.
New tire improperly mounted. A 180 degrees off with excessive lead. Didn't notice any vibration, but should I take it back ?
Connected a Wifi module to be able to power my pool pump on and off when I am out of town, but you can connect it to most anything.. Rated at 30 amps and operates off 110 or 220 volts. I use a free smart phone app to power it on and off that can be set for email notifications, if you choose to do so. Cost less than $25. Of course the timer itself will turn the pool pump on and off, but sometimes there are situations when I need to control it myself.
I thought it was pretty neat.
25 foot deep, 1 3/4 well with a sandpoint. Water table is about 7 feet, using a inch and a half suction line.
