After adding simple UI on my kobo lib color 2 my battery dying faster then ever !!!

Need some advice, So after the installation once I customized my simple ui the battery drainage was insane every time the clicked anything on the setting or tools to change 1% would keep going down. First day went from 100-74 % by morning in sleep mode seconds day after charging it I saw that the battery was holing up 84% for about 4 days again yesterday I didn’t use it it was in sleep more last night I started to change customize th app and my battery when gown from 84-49% in an two three hours. I’m so confused why is it happening like that. Is there anything I can do to help prevent it from battery drainage. If anyone could give me some tips or hacks 🙏. I tried looking for other Reddit but no one really is saying anything specific other the didn’t happen to mine. I’m really liking ko reader hut if it does like this idk wha to do.
