I’d love to move to Portugal some day, probably as a retiree. I am an American of half Portuguese descent — I don’t look it but my last name is very Portuguese and I speak a little Portuguese.

I’m wondering if there are a lot of expats to Portugal of Portuguese descent — people who reversed the immigration story of their ancestors.

How do the Portuguese view you? What‘s it like there for you? Do you think your experience is any different from those who don't have Portuguese roots?
