I've tried Freedom, Forest, AppBlock, you name it. The problem is that they're all timer-based or just block the entire app outright.
So I built something different: Grounded.
How it works:
• Create a task ("Finish assignment")
• Select which apps to block (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and which functionality
• It stay locked until you mark the task complete. No timer, no shortcuts, no cheating
Bonus: AI task breakdown. Tell it "Study for CS exam" and it breaks it into 3-5 small steps with time estimates.
