why did no one tell me that this was such a shit university.

the new modular system is set to screw us over in every way possible. unlike uhs, we have to pass all the written and ospe components of the block exam individually, or else we fail the entire block.

the reasoning behind this is somewhat understandable ig, they said that the overall 50% passing criteria was a flaw in the uhs system... because this made students habitual of skipping subjects and that is not an acceptable practice for a doctor.

but we asked them why not fail that one subject individually? this will prevent students from skipping any subjects. but the answer we got was "beta agar aap ek burger order kartay ho, aur us mein tamatar gala ho.. to sara burger kharab ho jaye ga na" wtf.

on top of that, we asked them to extend the prep leaves because we're only getting 3 atm and that's no where near enough time to revise the whole syllabus. but they rejected that saying we're still stuck in the mdcat, fsc mindset... is revision not something we need in mbbs? do they expect us to read a line and remember it forever?

why is kemu so glorified anyway? everything about it is mid. the lectures are useless... i only go for attendance but the teachers are obsessed with canceling it for every dumb reason possible. not one good thing has happened to me since i started going here. even the people that reapplied using 2024 mdcat are complaining. like dawg, you wasted someone's seat for this?

i feel miserable everyday. our dean insists that since we are the pioneer batch for this system, they'll facilitate us as much us possible. but they've already failed 95 students in the first anatomy module. what kind of facilitation is that? i can alr see what my block result will look like if the policy doesn't change. lord help us.
