She has an air pocket in the roof of her mouth. My 9 year old chihuahua/dachshund mix broke 2 molars 2 months ago. The vet said to wait & see if the ends of the pulps die but before I knew it, both teeth were cracking in the middle so we went back to the vet - scheduled her extraction for the next week. (She’s 3 weeks post-op rn) They said she did amazing but she has terribly anxiety so she panicked when she woke up - had to get sedated. She had a top front tooth that was “mobile” so they extracted that one too. First week went fine, it still kinda is but the roof of her mouth where her front tooth was extracted, swelled up. Everything online said it was normal for the first week. It was softish, I didn’t apply a lot of pressure to know for sure but the next week when I felt it again, it was kinda hard but still no redness, no pain, no other symptoms so I waited more. Now it is an air pocket. When I pressed on it, it literally feels like an air pocket in the roof of her mouth. WTF is this?
She’ll go to her vet Wednesday but if any symptoms come up then she’ll go Sunday instead.
