I don't have ancestry.com and have been trying to find information, but i have found not that much.

Here is everything I have:

name: Robert James Egan

born: 21 Sep 1919 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA

died: 27 Feb 1945 (aged 25) at Iwo Jima, Ogasawara-shichō, Tokyo Metropolis, Japan

buried at Fernwood Cemetery and Mausoleum
He was a U.S marine and fought at the Battle of Iwo Jima, and also died there

I have some photos of his draft card, his photo, and a letter talking about his death sent by the Marines, and a veteran compensation application file written by his brother. I can send you if it helps.
