I had already bought Stronger Together, Shush and Gasoline Girls. I remember as soon as Thursday night came around I went to the iTunes Store because albums are available by then. I bought the rest of the songs. I laid in my room around 1130pm and put my headphones on and listened to it in its entirety. Heres my ranking of the songs.
Fanny Faudrey (you could tell she and her collaborators had so much fun with this one. I love the lyrics music and overall joy. it’s like the happy hopeful song in a grim álbum. The only thing is it’s too short!)
Veins (I was impressed with her daughter’s contribution to this song. Its a very good song and the way they go back and forth between the lyrics it’s really good.)
AngelShark (Another gem, especially lyrically wise. I love the metaphor of comparing us as endangered species like the angleshark. My favorite part was when sometimes you have to hide in the dark to survive! I related with that on a deeper level!!)
St. Teresa ( Love the music to it. It’s haunting yet sexy bewitching is the better word.
23 Peaks (Beautiful music throughout and haunting lyrics.)
Stronger Together (Its the most pop song of the album and its catchy with good lyrics, Tash does a good job here too.)
Shush ( Obviously I love the reference to SATY and her shoutout to Courtney.)
Ode to Minnesota ( Was a heartfelt tribute. I just found it too short)
Song of Sorrow ( very emotive)
After that I cant rate the rest because haven'on me as much. But it was my first listen. I’m sure in time they will grow on me. I was kind of disappointed in the title track. It wasn’t as good as I thought it would be considering its, its namesake. They will eventually grow on me I’m sure.
