Like the title says, I am entering my last year of law school and am not interested in legal work. I have done both corporate and litigation internships and just don’t seem to enjoy legal research and being alone most of the day with sporadic meetings.

I enjoyed a mediation class, and find the intellectual side of law stimulating, just not the actual practice of drafting documents and harsh grading curves which seems to make me dislike every class I’m interested in.

I am most interested in the strategy side of corporate law and executing those strategies and ideas rather than researching and then witting about them. Most of my classes law classes are spent with me wondering about the business side of things.(Although I enjoy research as long as it is not a majority of what I do and I get to do something with it). I also enjoy private equity portfolio operations and strategic growth but obviously, since I have no experience in it a job in that field is unlikely since most firms that do that are thinly staffed and usually all have an MBA. I’m mostly concerned about paying down the debt-> anything below 150k would be hard to accept (especially considering I’d be giving up a big law offer)

But maybe the grass is always greener. Would love any advice (but try to be considerate)
