Stats: 20M, Lifting for 2+ years properly

Hi all. I am looking to integrate running or some form of cardio into this lifting routine. Seeing as it is asynchronous I was thinking I could run between lifting days taking every 3rd day off as a rest day. So - lower , run, upper , run, lower , rest, (repeat)

My main question is if this training split would allow me to rest and recover for running. I really enjoy lifting every second day but if it needs to be changed for recovery it needs to be changed.

My goals are to keep building strength and muscle through gym while also building respectable cardiovascular endurance and not getting injured or making stupid overtraining mistakes along the way.

Any advice is appreciated :)
