Did a demo of the Guru today, Im a big dude tad under 350 and 6'2". Never kayaked before either. I didnt tip over, and managed to stand without a rope or dropping the paddle in the water for extra stability. I will trailer the craft so I can keep my rods / reels locked in the bed of the truck.
I'm looking to shed some pounds and do inshore fishing the inlets in Destin area and the taking it offshore (less than a mile) once I get under 300lbs.
I need something to add a trolling motor and want to peddle like that Guru skiff. I like being low on the water, and thought with the U-Max it would sit to high up offshore and current / wind would push me around. Also looked at Tacticle Pro128 but there are very few videos like people are not enjoying them.
Any help I appreciate it ahead of time.
