Advice On Finding Scaredy-Cats
Hey all! Has anyone ever done a booking with cats where you just canNOT find a cat anywhere? I’m doing drop ins for 2 dogs/2 cats. The owner had showed me a spot where one of her cats typically hides, and that’s where I’ve found her a couple of times. But I have NOT seen the other cat yet. Granted, the visits just started today and I’ve only done 2 visits so far. But I would love to at least lay my eyes on all of the animals when I go back over tonight to do the last visit for the day. The drop ins end on Monday AM so I have “time” for the cat to hopefully acclimate to me more, but my anxiety just gets to me when I don’t see all pets in the house. Anyone have any advice on maybe luring the cat out from where she may be hiding? Or any ideas of where to look? I’ve tried shaking the treat jar and even playing cat meowing sounds off YouTube, lol. I’ve also looked under the bed and under tables/etc. The owner has also been made aware that I haven’t seen her yet, and I asked her if she has any common hiding spots. Thank you!
