Has anyone else experienced a random bursary they were not expecting being added to their “My Financial Aid and Awards” section in Minerva? And/or a random deposit from McGill in their bank account? I’ve gotten both in the last month.

I have already received some bursaries and other aid, but I was not alerted to these extra funds and have no idea what they are for. Is this a mistake? One of them is a “QC Tuition Support Bursary” and I’m an international student, so I’m super confused.

Is it worthwhile to reach out to the Student Aid office or should I just leave it and see if they take the money back? Could this affect my tuition payments?
