Just a quick rant. Dad (80) threw a temper tantrum yesterday because I politely refused his generous offer of dumping one non working riding lawn mower, one non working push mower and a random non working engine at my house. Apparently he thought I could sell them and he'd let me keep the money. Oh joy. I was widowed young and left with a farm that I've been busting myself to repair ever since. I also run my own business. I'm remarried now, but my new husband isn't handy at all. When I suggested he post this junk on Facebook like a local group, he said that "was way above his paygrade". Nevermind he spends hours a day on his phone and plays on Facebook most of the time. I don't understand why boomer parents think it's fine to dump mountains of literal trash on their kids. None of this is valuable antiques that are worth something and so on. Once my parents gave me a bag of my dad's used socks. I don't want used socks!

Forgot to add the best gift I'd ever gotten from them....a broken recliner that was my grandparents. My grandpa was 91, said he didn't feel well, sat down in that recliner and passed away! The "going off to heaven farewell chair"...they insisted on dumping it my house and I got rid of it afterwards!
