I’m in a thesis group and I’ve been threatened to be removed unless i “buy” my grades off of them. Yes I’ve had my shortcomings on the group, i wasn’t always the best teammate but is it really fair of them to ask me to pay just so i could graduate? I’m merely a college student as well, it’s not like i grow money on trees.

I’m being asked for 15k minimum and i’ve been given a deadline on the payment or else “termination from the paper” their words.
