Hello! We’ll be bringing a Cavalier puppy home soon, and we’re incredibly excited!

My partner and I have both had different types of dogs throughout our lives, but this will be our first time with this breed. From everything we’ve seen and read, they seem like such wonderful, affectionate companions. We currently have two very dog-savvy Maine Coons in our household.

I’d love to hear any tips or advice for bringing a new puppy home, especially anything specific to Cavaliers. Also, if you have one, what are your favorite things about the breed?

We’re getting our puppy from a reputable breeder who does all the proper health testing, and we plan to stay on top of their health and care throughout their life.
