I hear about $55 on ads is the best, and could maybe get you around 30-50 followers, but what if I had a LOT of money to blow and I wanted to do it during the beginning for rising stars status. If I had about $1,000 and wanted to seriously use it to maximize rising stars visibility.

Is this possible? Is it dumb? Is there a certain amount of $$ on ads that is good and then after that is just diminishing returns?
