Hey everyone,

I’m an IMG currently working in Emergency Medicine in Australia, interested in applying to Canada (ideally straight EM, not FM + EM).

I was wondering for IMGs who matched (especially EM or even other specialties), how important was your MCCQE Part I score?

What score range did you have?

Is there a “safe” score to aim for?

Or does it just act as a cutoff and other things matter more (NAC, references, Canadian experience)?

Would really appreciate any real experiences or advice especially from those who didn’t go the FM route.
