I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to help Jon hatch his dragon egg, playing as his "father", Eddard?

So, after Eddard Stark has just helped King Robert I Baratheon defeat the Second Greyjoy Rebellion and Aegon VI's invasion, concurrently, Howland Reed reveals Jon's true parentage. Robert calls for Eddard's and Jon's heads. Eddard refuses but waits for Robert to declare war and invade the North. Only for Howland to declare for Robert in the war.
