I find aripiprazole doesnt stop my ideas of reference fully like risperidone did, currently on an early on dose increase from 10mg to 15mg(~6 days) aripiprazole. My psychiatrist suggested we try caripiprazine if it doesnt shush my brain but im wondering if that wont just be a waste of time since theyre so similar

Ive been on 10mg aripiprazole 1 month recently increased to 15mg 6 days ago, i find its not shutting down my symptoms like risperidone did. Isnt trying Caripiprazine potentially a waste of time since its similar?

I tolerate this medication really well but i still get ideas of reference in waves nearly all day, maybe 4-5 times where random noise/music/conversation in the enviroment feels personally meaningful or like it has a hidden meaning meant for me- What has your experience been switching between these medications, if its any use?
