I'm interested if any Madonna fans have watched the Michael Jackson movie and what they thought of it seeing that see is the closest current artist that relates to him on a contemporary level which is incredible in so many ways.

After seeing the default critics negative reviews but at the same time the high audience scores I decided to watch it after seeing the press junket interviews and being impressed with the cast members especially colman domingo and Jaafar Jackson.

I really enjoyed the film as it was a nostalgia trip. I was young enough to remember the thriller video being this cultural event and Bad being the first album I ever got as a gift so the way the film has been constructed has really tapped into those emotions and was ultimately left feel good experience to watch in a cinema especially to hear those hits via the IMAX sound.

While watching it, I wondered, being a fan of Madonnas music in a deeper way during the 90s and early 00s, would this format translate to her bio pic where it becomes an almost sing a long ? which there has been footage of many screenings of Michael ending up being dance party during and at the end of the credits.

I think it would 💯, not the at times hoky hallmark channel pacing of the film but definitely the reenactments of some of the classic music videos she made and tour performances. .

Warner brothers must be seeing the box office figures this as is a similar demographic of fan base that are part of creating these figure.

Hopefully the mega success of the MJ film will give her some appreciation seeing she is the last of a golden generation of incredible groundbreaking artists from the 80s that influenced the world.

Its amazing and remarkable that Madonna is here making new music when she could be easily be curating her incredible discography
