I’ve been building a free WW2 aircraft modelling field manual - focused on real aircraft, real squadrons, and historically accurate builds.

The idea is to move away from generic builds and instead pick a specific aircraft, understand the pilot, squadron and operational context behind it, and then model it as accurately as possible.

The site currently covers Hurricane and Spitfire in depth (Battle of Britain squadrons, 300+ pilot profiles, markings, paint codes across multiple brands, kit comparisons and weathering by airfield).

There are also expanding hubs for Lancaster, Mosquito, Bf 109, P51 and Fw 190, plus guides on paint matching, kits and techniques.

It’s completely free, just trying to build something genuinely useful for modellers who care about accuracy and history.

Would really value feedback, especially from anyone with strong knowledge of squadron markings or aircraft details.
