I recently got my first Delta Amex Gold card, and was exploring the benefit options.
This Delta Stays Credit thing - it just seems too good to be true.

What I read is that as long as I book through their portal and pay it upfront, I get $100 statement credit per each year.

Are there any hidden rules, such as not applicable for the 1st year (as the AF is waived), or there are minimum spending requirements, or some specific booking rules apply... so on?

I was originally thinking of downgrading to green after the 1st or 2nd year (if that's still possible) but with this benefit I am pretty sure this is totally worth the fee.
