Stage 3 perianal hs diagnosed in January. I've been on antibiotics on and off since July, and straight for past 3 months. First cipro/flagyl combo, then doxy, and last rifampin/clindamycimg. Also on a biologic (hyrimoz). Now I have c diff and am on Dificid. My issue is all perianal with abscesses and fistulas and I'm not sure any of it is helping, and now I have more gut issues and lost 30 lbs since July (didn't need to lose weight). I'm also on AIP diet.

At a total loss. Doc says to stop antibiotics after c diff treatmemt and take a break from biologics. I'm literally back to the stating line and way worse than before with my new issues. Good times. I think I was overmedicated and shouldn't have taken long term antibiotics. They are bad news.

Hey folks, I've been on rifampin and clindamycin for a month (after 2 months on doxycycline), along with humira to treat perianal HS. I've had 4 surgeries and fistulotomies. I was diagnosed yesterday with c diff after a week of hell. I'm now on Dificid day 1.

For those on biologics and had c diff, did the doc have u stop biologics? I'm so nervous to stop the antibiotics and biologics since they are helping my other issues. This has been hell, fistulas, abscesses, surgeries to fix fistulas, and now I can quit pooping bloody mucus and I possibly have to stop the drugs that are helping.

Any input much appreciated.
