Hi everyone :)
Ive been reworking on a student oc of mine who I developed back in 2021. Since then I've added a lot of changes, and recently happened to lose all 5 years worth of data and lore on her. Hence im starting from scratch.
Her story is mainly focused on the downsides of hero society. And her character aims to fill in the only kind of personality I found to be missing among the students--someone who doesn't wanna be a hero at all; while also focusing on the downsides of the hero society- but in a more civillian and non villainous way if that makes sense?
To make it simpler, she is at UA, and a part of the hero course against her will (was put in through recommendations). And harbors dissatisfaction towards the society in general (including both heroes and villains), because it is the continued issue of collateral damage that killed her brother, who was also a hero in the making.
The cost of collateral damage surely is something that has been brought up in the show, yes. Students are taught to keep collateral damage to a minimum. But when an all out war breaks out- collateral damage is simply inevitable. Civilians are rescued, but the cost of losing a home and possible loved ones still remains.
Are there any other internal issues with the hero system (that haven't been addressed enough yet) like this that come to your mind?
