Hi everyone — looking for insight from anyone familiar with DOE hiring.

I was verbally offered a district social worker position in late February and accepted. I was later told the start would likely be in September, but I still haven’t received any formal offer letter, nomination, or next steps.

They do respond when I follow up, so I don’t think I’ve been forgotten, but it’s hard to know what’s normal vs concerning.

Has anyone had a similar delay between a verbal offer and formal paperwork for a district role? Is this typical, or should I be pushing more?
