beyond kaidos personal reasons for wanting death, a new life for king is one of them.

during the fight with luffy kaido said "should have took ur head, otherwise humans will keep hope" or something like that

it got me thinking, why does kaido believe this? what led kaido to this perspective? the answer is king.

king has followed and believed in kaido ever since he was rescued by him.

In-between then and now, it is implied kaido has become jaded and hopeless in changing the world/being joyboy and has relegated himself to a mere gatekeeper of joyboy "im the only one who can change the world" turned into "joyboy is the one who will defeat me." Kaido is a fraud, he knows and admits it

Kaido, now jaded after many years, seems guilty for not being able to create the world he originally envisioned for himself, and for king. Despite hopelessness, kaido trudges along bc he still has ppl who believe in him, king.

On the flip side, king remains hopeful, ever faithful in Kaido..even in defeat King thinks of his loyalty and faith to kaido

This is kaidos dilemma, the source of his sadness, he has given up on himself but his right hand has not. as a result, even heavier than his failure, kaido is burdened by his guilt to king.

Kaido saw first hand with Rocks and Roger that death can either erase you or immortalize you. For kaido either outcome was a win-win, as a result death became Kaidos only salvation

But, Kaido needed a place to die, not for his own selfish reasons ie: glorious death. but for selfless reasons, so his loyal follower can finally move on and not waste his life following a fraud. Kaidos death was the only thing that could change Kings faith.

Kaido thinks of king, also in his defeat. Now that Kaido is defeated, King is free.

almost, it is like a dark alternative reality of luffy and xolo.
