I have solid experience with using OpenCode, Codex, Claude and don't understand why people are using VsCode forks with integrated AI agents. I tried to use it myself and all these AI IDEs have only one benefit over CLI tools and this is autocomplete. To be honest this autocomplete uses the smallest and dumbest AI model for fast response and in many cases it is useless or even it makes it hard to write code manually. Can someone tell me why? What benefit do you see over the standard IDE and CLI agent?
