Finally got round to planting up the garden borders and genuinely chuffed with how it’s starting to come together.
Mixture of ferns, Tiarella, Heucheras, Jack Frost, and carex Everest grasses.
Acer Sango Kaku’ at the far end
Tricky one as it's a very narrow border down the side of the lawn, north facing so went with lots of hardy/shade loving plants. Hopefully by next spring/summer it should knit together nicely.
This side gets a mix of morning sun, bright shade, then some evening light depending on time of year, so I went mostly for foliage, texture and woodland-ish stuff.
The opposite side is totally different but South facing so went with dwarf rootstock apple and pear trees and some rhubarb, I plan to plant strawbs in spring.
Bonus last picture is from January this year.
My first garden so it's a learning curve, any advice or tips for the plants or fruit trees I have?
Thanks
