I just became a 1st year ibew apprentice and my schedule is 5 10s and a 8. I have no problem working but they ask every week do we wanna work sat or not sometimes I do sometimes I don’t. And my foreman said he was cool with that cuz he doesn’t even come in on sat cuz he signed for 40 hours. But recently my foreman just said the GF is gonna start writing people up who dont work the schedule they “signed” for. But the thing is they change the schedule all the time so they got people who signed for 40 and some working 58. I just don’t understand how we can get anything done if everyone is not on the same page or even close to it. Almost everyday my crew has to improvise cuz the foreman isn’t there. I don’t understand how I get told i’ll get wrote up for not coming sat when they ask if I am or not and my foreman is there half the time.
