i’m a new article (2 months in) at a mid-small sized firm. im facing a bit of a dilemma with my work allocation.

​ the litigation partner whos basically the head, recently lost his senior article, so he has been pulling me into his work constantly. (only me) however, the "work" is just mostly him sending voice notes of replies and appeals and me just typing them out.

​every time the audit team plans to take me on a client place, the litigation partner tells them to leave me behind so I can keep typing for him. im worried that im losing out on even the basic audit learning that every article needs in their first year.

​is litigation exposure (even at this basic level) worth missing out on audits? how should i talk to my Principal about wanting a more balanced exposure without sounding like i'm complaining about the work? or should i just take transfer because i fear ill just be kept getting involved in just that partner's work now
