I accidentally figured out how to get my execs attention
I have regular meetings with my exec but he’s in the middle of two hectic weeks that include back to back international travel. I originally canceled our 1:1 this week, but he hasn’t been answering his email or slacks and I have some urgent questions that need to be answered before EOW (and he’a taking off again tomorrow).
I thought I’d try something this time. Instead of a 15 minute zoom meeting to rattle off my questions, maybe I could include them in the meeting invite so he could send me the info ahead of time and we could cancel. He’s famous for not doing pre-reads, so it was a 50/50 chance.
Sure enough…I’m cc’d on three different emails that will get me answers to a few questions, receipts are magically showing up in my inbox, and he replied to my meeting request with answers to the rest of my questions. It worked like a charm, all I needed to do was threaten him with a 15 minute meeting 🤣
