Hi everyone, f 26 here and new to this sub. I’ve had a sensitive stomach through my twenties and recently it’s become out of the blue pretty bad. Last year I had a time where I all of a sudden needed to empty my bowels and that came with excruciating pain unlike anything I’d ever felt, breaking out in sweats and genuinely feeling like I was going to die (I read that that feeling might be vagus nerve related). It was frightening but it passed and i carried on with life.
However over the last 10 days I’ve had persistent bowel trouble with diarrhoea out of the blue, and now it’s become a yellow-y colour, bloating, regular cramping when emptying my bowels and one other horrific cramping/sweating/unbearable episode. I ended up hunched over making strange noises as that’s all that could get me through the pain.
I’ve never ever experienced bad bowels like this before and so persistently and I’m not sure whether it’s worth going to my GP as I’ve read that IBS is incurable. Any advice would be much appreciated :(
