Hello, I read a book series a few years ago but it was lent to my grandma who let me read it and then given back to someone. I cannot find it from google, it keeps telling me Homecoming by Cynthia something but it's not that one. It's a Christian romance type book series I'm pretty sure.

A young girl, 16yo I think, has to take care of her siblings and her father after their mothers dies in childbirth and soon after that, her father gets put in prison for assaulting one of his employees because i think his company built houses or did something with wood, and the employee was acting out and the father couldn't hold his temper after everything that happened. So now the girl really has to take care of her siblings including a new baby and has to drop out of high school i believe to provide for her family. Later on in the books, her little brother finds a pregnant teen in a train car and the family offers to help her until she can make it on her own, and she eventually marries an older man who wants to provide her a home for her and the baby on a farm (no, I don't think he was a creeper, he had good intentions I'm pretty sure). The 16yo girl also starts to fall in love with this doctor that showed up in their town who took care of ppl without getting normal payment. And I'm pretty sure she was already in love with a different boy so it's one of those, she has to choose between the two type scenarios. Later on, she finds out that her and her siblings may get separated because she's a minor taking care of minors so she has to go find a distant relative and convince her to come back and be their guardian so she can keep her siblings together and it works and I believe the relative was a great aunt or something. Also later on, the girl's little sister, decides to run away and become an actress and be rebellious, that doesn't work out too well for her because some creep tried to get to her so she ends up having to find her way back to her home. I'm pretty sure she went to California from one of the Southern states (where the most of the story takes place.) Eventually the father gets out of prison because his daughter, the 16yo, gave a letter to the president or something and he had compassion for her and her family and I think the president had history with the father and he gets let out and eventually meets a woman after his car broke down i think and he was stranded and they fall in love and marry and then it's basically happily ever after after that but I don't remember what happened with the 16yo and the doctor and other boy. I believe she had to take care of 3-4 siblings, a baby, a semi-toddler, and the teen boy and girl who was mentioned in here. Oh and it's kind of set back when there was no tvs kind of, and ice was used to keep things cold. So it may be an older book, but I know the book was set back then

I know this is a lot, and may be jumbled, but I'm trying to find this book to show to a friend and to reread myself and I cannot remember the name. So any help would be appreciated. The mother wasn't mentally ill, the siblings didn't have to move or go on some huge journey besides finding the relative and they were never homeless that I remember.
