would anyone here have any tips for doing 1/8" butt welds on 3/16" plate with 045 wire? using 75/25 gas and have been told to crank up volts and wire speed to spray transfer, but i find it easier to go slow and cold, but even then its a struggle. any advice

edit: using MIG solid wire
