Part time EA

I am currently an EA working full time 40+ hours a week. I am salary, I don’t usually work too much over 40 but it rolls into some nights and weekends, I’m sure fellow EA’s will understand. I never minded before, especially because some weeks would be so quiet I barely worked 30 hours. It all seemed to even out in the end. Anyway, I just had my first baby and I’ve been back at work for 6 months and am really struggling only seeing her on weekends or an hour before bed. Have any other EA’s gone from full time to part time? I am fine with taking a pay cut, I’m on my husband’s health insurance so no worries there. Wondering how your company worked with you (or against you) and transportation from full time to part time. Did you get a number of executes cut? Did you get responsibilities cut? I’m working out how to bring this up to my boss so any input would be extremely helpful while I build this case. Side note, there is an office manager at my job who has the capacity to take on more. Anytime I look at her screen she’s online shopping so hoping I can leverage her to take over some of my work.
