I have a 2022 Volkswagen Golf R Mk8 with 70k km. A tuning garage in Dubai installed a Stage 2 setup and kept my OEM downpipe because I planned to return the car to stock later.
For months, they kept confirming through WhatsApp that my downpipe was safe with them. Now suddenly they’re saying they don’t have it anymore and first claimed they gave it back to me.
After I showed them the WhatsApp messages, they changed the story and said it may have been lost during the heavy rain or taken during RTA inspections.
Now they’re offering me 1500 AED compensation.
Is 1500 AED fair for an OEM Golf R MK8 downpipe or am I getting lowballed?
