After the ridiculous season from LSU, I'm proposing a new stat grouping similar to OPS or WHIP. I propose the Boop Stat. It would be a sum of the Walks (BB), Errors, Wild pitches, and Pass Balls. It would be an indication of the free bases allowed by the defense per game. I could see other stats, but this was a 5 minute thought on Sunday night.
Every wild pitch? Boop.
Lazy catcher with a passed ball? Boop.
Another throwing error? Boop.
I'm so over this season.
