I've somewhat figured out how the settings work. Brightness is the easiest. It transposes the linear scale left or right, Contrast is easy, it scales the levels, expanding or contracting the range. (Math?). The three Gamma settings make it less linear by introducing a curvature. (Again math?) and Hue and Saturation affects that 3x3 matrix at the top - but I do not know how nor do I know what the values mean - or at least how they get used. Presumably, those are three equations with three components?
Just wondering if anyone knows, or can point me to a resource, that explains the math involved, what it does and doesn't let us do to the image, and how we might handcraft our own series of values to create looks the webapp can't?
