Picked up a pair of Chelsea’s a month ago. The insole pulled back from the toes after the first wear around the house. Red Wing customer service was super cool and helped me with the exchange. Shipped them the boots and they had a store nearby ship me a new pair. The new pair was awful quality almost like it didn’t even go through QC. The insole is wrinkled like a nut sack, two different textures of leather and a decent size gash. Contacted customer service a second time and their remedy was a refund. I’m new to Red Wing but this is now the third pair of boots in the last few months that I’ve purchased and had to warranty. Is their QC just god awful now or has it always been like this?
