This is probably an oddball question and im kinda at a loss. Got a relaly wet problematic property we just bought and im trying to figure out a way to drain some od the water. I know drain tile exist and whatnot but I dont really have a good area to move the water. So I've been exploring a rain garden. I have standing water for a day or two after a good rain and id like to direct as much of it to a corner of my property snd hopefully get some plans to suck it up. I love the idea of using the water and me and my wife are pretty enthusiastic about gardening. So my first question is how actually effective can a rain garden be? Ive been doing some research but im hoping to find some first hand experiance. We live in Southern ohio, grow zone 6a if that makes sense, and would love to plant some locals. Any afvice/tips would help or even pointing me in the right direction would be great. Thanks for reading!
