I took my first ever turkey this morning and immediately noticed it had what looked like three wounds that were scabbed over on both breasts and one leg. But I’m not really sure if these were from fighting or something else. I’m really hoping to eat this bird being my first one, but don’t want to take a risk. Pics show the wounds and what it looked like when I cut these sections out. Obviously I am cutting around these sections and discarding, but not sure if it’s still too risky to eat the remaining bird. Thanks.
