Hi everyone, so I’m going through a project with my parents in one of our bedroom at home. A tenant finally decided to leave after her eviction process was put in hold, so it now only leaves us with my siblings 👌.

I am going to be starting a hospital job in a couple of months, say September/October, and I’ll be working night shifts; thats the plan. I will be taking over the room by the way, but heres the thing. My siblings are annoying when it comes to noise, and our dogs well, they’re a treat. And I mean obviously working night shifts I wanna have zero noise lol.

Now we are tearing the entire room down. That being being the entrance, drywall , insulation, ceiling everything. Heck even the closet too. past tenant was a mess, is a mess lol. Theres mold on the door frame, ceiling, cracks on the walls, and the smell, woah. Carpet even looks like she had a zoo in there. My sister does have lupus, so with all the mold we are destroying absolutely everything in that room and regardless, the room itself is a safety hazard.

So yeah! What new flooring for sound proofing. I was thinking from moving away from carpet to wood flooring. What type of insulation, a solid core door. Just about everything to make it sound proof as much as possible. Yeah I’ll tearing down that entire bedroom to bare zero, so its a good refresh to make it soundproof and safer too I guess. Thanks yall. But yeah soundproof everything.
