Contacting services in English?
Buna ziua,
My partner and I have land not too far from Bucuresti and we need to hire some services to take care of various things like tree removal, light demolition, and geotechnical study. My partner is Romanian but busy with work, so I am looking to pick up some of the administrative tasks to get things moving. But unfortunately, I do not speak Romanian (yet... I'm studying.) I will contact these companies via email. (I don't have WhatsApp.) Do Romanian companies generally respond well to non-native/English speakers? Is it common at all? Is it worth explaining my situation and that I do not speak Romanian? It feels impolite to randomly email someone in a non-native language, but it's either that or have my partner translate everything for me, which would be counterintuitive for this purpose. Any input and advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
