Been in pageants

One of things I’m proud of as a mom is how many times my daughter actually asked me to crochet her an outfit! And that’s no fine cotton or linen she’s wearing. I use only Red Heart craft yarn (about a medium 4) which is the same yarn that single handedly kept crafting accessible to Black Women since Reconstruction. I refuse to use anything else.

Parade Flair

I’m not much of an artist but I do some great folk work in the pageantry world. This is a bunch of signage I did for my daughter’s natural hair pageant.

Voilà, My Scarf!

Hey, y’all! I’m just introducing myself. I specialize in hat and scarf designs, but I’m known to make a blanket or two as well. I learned crocheting from my grandmother who couldn’t read a pattern. I’m super proud to continue her art form.
