“They say that, many years ago, a lost princess wandering the forest fell into this Void. Unlike you, Alice, she was not so fortunate… for she fell into the nest of demonic roses.
The deck of cards she once held so dearly was scattered across the skies, raining down upon the armored bodies of knights who met the same fate.
But this princess was different. There was something within her heart… something unique. Something that drew the attention of the Void itself.
It granted her immortality, and in turn, the rosebush claimed her body as its own.
Poor princess… she tried, again and again, to sever her own head. But death would not take her.
If you wish to defeat her, and end her suffering, Alice, you must first pass through the army of suit-bound knights… and pierce the heart of the princess…

the Queen of Hearts.”
♦️This is the second artwork of a reinterpretation project of the Alice in Wonderland universe, titled Alice: Far Away from Wonderland. Since there are many characters, I will focus on the ones that interest me the most.
♦️ The idea is to reimagine this world as something darker, more unsettling, and deeply uncomfortable.
