iQOO Neo 10R camera completely broken after April update — inverted preview, no QR scan, no video calls anymore

My iQOO Neo 10R camera has been completely messed up for the last few weeks and I strongly think it started after the April update. The camera app mostly doesn’t open at all anymore. Sometimes it opens only after restarting the phone multiple times, and when it finally does open, the preview appears upside down/inverted like the attached screenshots. Both rear and front cameras behave randomly and inconsistently.

The issue is affecting literally everything that uses the camera. GPay/UPI QR scanning doesn’t work, video calls are broken, and apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, etc. either show a black screen, freeze, or fail to access the camera. Occasionally I also get “camera failed” errors. The weird part is that after a reboot the camera sometimes works temporarily for a few seconds or minutes before dying again.

I’ve already tried almost every software fix I could find online including clearing camera cache/data, force stopping apps, resetting camera settings, checking permissions, restarting multiple times, updating apps, checking for new software updates, trying different camera apps, and basic troubleshooting. Nothing has permanently fixed it.

The inverted camera preview is what’s confusing me the most because it feels less like a normal app bug and more like either corrupted camera firmware/drivers after the update or some hardware issue that got triggered by the update. I genuinely can’t tell whether this is a motherboard issue, camera module issue, flex cable issue, or purely software-related anymore.

Has anyone else with an iQOO or Vivo phone faced something similar recently? If yes, did the service center actually fix it? Was it software reflashing or hardware replacement? I’d really appreciate any help because at this point even basic things like scanning QR codes and making video calls have become impossible.
