The situation was reported by a social media user on Threads under the nickname i.petrovna_.

i.petrovna_ claims that fighters of the second mechanized battalion of the 14th Brigade are allegedly on positions without water and food, and that the command is ignoring this.

“Friends, maximum publicity! 14th brigade, 2nd mechanized battalion, attached to the 30th brigade, 2nd battalion. The guys are on positions without food and water! The command does not respond. The soldiers are losing consciousness from hunger, drinking rainwater. There are also problems with communication. Please spread these photos,” the author of the post says.

In the published photos, three men are shown who have an extremely exhausted and physically weakened appearance. All of them are standing shirtless in a dark room.

The men’s bodies are very thin: ribs, collarbones, shoulder and pelvic bones are clearly visible. Their faces are emaciated with tired expressions.

Reaction of the Ministry of Defense to the condition of the soldiers of the 14th Brigade

The Ministry of Defense commented on this information. They reported that the relevant commanders have already taken notice of the incident. The commander of the 14th Brigade has taken this issue under control.

“Despite complicated logistics, they are trying to resolve the issue of supplying the soldiers and replacing them. Such situations should not happen, but the situation on different front sectors can be quite critical. The command of the brigade and the corps are in contact with relatives,” the Ministry of Defense statement says.

By the way, former chief of staff of “Azov” Bohdan Krotevych stated that society may be shaken by real losses of individual assault regiments due to poor command and lack of preparation. He gave an example of a regiment that, only in July 2025, lost more people than the “Azov” brigade did over two years of offensive operations. Krotevych criticized the political leadership for the lack of systemic changes and warned: ignoring problems with service organization and preservation of soldiers’ lives may lead to mass protests.

>Kostyantynivka. The brutal reality of a city that the Russians are wiping off the face of the earth.

>Our pilots of the R.V. unit of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion recorded Russian phosphorus strikes on a residential quarter. A prohibited weapon that burns everything alive. And following that — a FAB-1500 strike.

>Warning: 21+ footage.

>According to official data, about 2,000 civilians remain in the city, yet the Russians do not hesitate not only to strike them with such means, but also to hunt them with drones. In the photo — a local resident who was trying to leave the city on his bicycle. The operator of the Russian FPV drone clearly saw that it was a civilian person.

>What we are facing is not an army, but real evil. And the only way for us to live in peace is to stop it.
