Any opinion on 'banana incident' of the Korean guy? Do you agree that Taiwanese girls are so kind to foreigners?

There is an Korean illustrator attending on Taipei Illustration Fair 2026.

On the first day, people rarely visited his booth. He posted on Threads writing in traditional Chinese characters that he was sad that people did not visit his booth. He expressed his concern that nobody would not buy his products brought from Korea. He also posted his selfie.

Then, the story of the handsome(Not my word) Korean began to be shared among Taiwanese girls, and people began to flood in his booth next day.

He made a post again that he was so busy due to many Taiwanese visiting his booth that he ate just one banana all day.

Then, what happened? Taiwanese girls flocked into him. People brought snacks, drinks, bakery, food, gifts, and hand-writing letters for him. Taiwanese people said he should not be hungry in Taiwan . At the end his products were all sold out. He appreciated the warm heart of Taiwanese people. He was even interviewed by Taiwanese TV media.

The problem is some people are pointing out this can become the marketing strategy among foreigners because they know Taiwanese girls are so weak and kind to foreigners.

Do you agree to this?
