HELP NEEDED - How to fix the pre tip off energy drain from nerves??
Hey ya'll! This only happens to me before games (never a practice or pickup) where all of my energy is just ZAPPED from nerves and my legs feel extremely heavy (during warm ups and extending through the 1st quarter) and I get fatigued suppper easily. It's gotten so bad that during warm ups I opt to just sit down on the bench instead of getting shots up.
It's not until well into the 2nd quarter before I actually get into it to where I no longer have that feeling and am just hooping. This is a problem because my team needs me to be in kill mode from the jump.
My next game is tonight. Any recommendations on things I can do/energy boost strategies to eliminate this pre-game energy drain/heavy legs from the nerves?? I tried breathing exercises to calm myself down.. Didn't do a thing.
